Firstly, an update on my eBay challenge. Well, the challenge ends this coming Tuesday, June 12th, and I currently have a grand total of…. 4 lenses! So, looks like I won’t be fulfilling the challenge after all. 
Sure, I have three more full days to work on it, and I could make two lenses a day but racking my brain for ideas has been the most difficult part. It’s so much harder to build a lens about something you know nothing about, and since you don’t know much about it, why should you even clutter the web with your lens?
The 4 lenses I’ve made so far are the following:

- Slide Rules Rule!
- Monopoly: 1935 Commemorative Edition
- Get Your Own XO Laptop
I think I’m done with the challenge now. At least the challenge got me a few more lenses. That’s cool.
And now, secondly, there’s an upcoming Challenge, the Superhero Project for Charity. This make-5-lenses-in-two-weeks contest with a deadline of July 1st. Actually, the whole thing seems very secretive. I stumbled upon the contest from the So You Want to be a Giant Squid? blog and the blog for the contest seems to imply it is an invite(-only?) contest. Hmm. I’m no Giant Squid…. I’m sure the details will come out later. Or at least, to the people invited I suppose.
