First Payday!

Posted by: mosaic In: payday

Today was my first payday! I did not take a picture of my dashboard on the last day of May, but I was able to get a good idea of where they stood by hovering on the graph in the stats page. The tier payouts can be found in this forum thread.

From what I can figure, this is how my earnings got calculated.

Received $13.41, which is 98% of $13.68. Paypal takes 2%.

$13.68 = $8.09 + (3 x $1.38) + (15 x $0.07) + $0.40[royalty]

The big revelation for me was that all those Tier 3 lenses are really worth something when you have a bunch of them! Anyhow, $13 isn’t huge or anything, but it’s pretty good for me! It was also fun to do math and backcalculate since I really didn’t want to check all my lenses to figure out how many Tier 3s I had. Heehee. I <3 math. Hence, the slide rule lens.

Tier 2 isn’t a lot, and Tier 3 very little, but as you say it does add up. I think most active lenses can make it to Tier 2, the hard part is making it to Tier 1 of course.

Congratulations on getting paid :)

I got $72.56 - more lenses in the first Tier than I expected which was nice. I’m curious to see what June brings… That was an increase of 250% over my previous payment, so I’m happy, but still no revenue from anything else…

Congratulations! That’s a good start.

I got about $78 this time around, I think almost double what my last pay day was. Pretty pleased for now. :)

Victoria: we seem to be making similar amounts. I made around 78 as well - and about 40 last time. I agree with Poddys: getting lenses to tier 2 isn’t so hard, though I have plenty stuck in tier 3 actually. Getting them to tier one is a challenge: that’s where the real competition is.
